Assam Laksa THIS THURSDAY, Malay Chinese

No surprise when I Wikipedia Assam Laksa, It is listed as number 7 on World’s 50 most delicious foods on CNN international, It is a sour, fish –based soup with main ingredients of shredded fish, normally kembung fish or mackerel, and vegetables including cucumber, pineapple, lettuce, onions and mint. The combination may sound weird but the taste is exceptionally good. Assam Laksa doesn’t have coconut milk like the curry laksa and taste very refreshing.

Sadly, Assam Laksa is not readily available in Sydney like in Malaysia/Singapore. Only a few places does it such as Malay Chinese, Petaling Street and Albee’s Kitchen. Lucky I worked one street away from Malay Chinese and that is my “must visit” every month. Since they only make that once a month it is important to be checking their Daily Special to make sure you don’t miss it.

It is available this coming Thursday Sep 27th. Say hi if you see me Smile
